The quality of the product is far beyond what I expected. The material is tough, the stitching which is a huge issue on workout gear is really well done. I’ve only had the bag for a few weeks, but this bag seems like it will last forever.
Thank you for the kind words. We appreciate the thoughtful review.
I'm really enjoying my new pack. I got it on Monday and have rucked the times already (it's Thursday). I think the bang for buck is great. My friends have complimented the color and look of my pack. I wish they're would have been a card or video to tell me how to leave in the waist strap. It came loosely attached and I had a busy show me how that works. That's my only complaint. Great bag, great value!
Hey Tim. Thanks for the kind words. We appreciate the constructive feedback on instruction for the hip belt. We just uploaded a video to our YouTube channel to guide people through this issue.

Cheaper than GORUCK, more versatility with exterior pockets and slightly more comforatable on back.
The Rucker 4.0 does have thicker padding on shoulder straps, but they take a while to break in and the Navigotar ruck is equally as comforable with no break in time.
The Rucker 4.0 has extra fabric here and there to reinforce the zippers, but I see no durability concerns with the Navigator. The buckles are ever so slightly smaller on the Navigator, but I see no reason to question the durability. The Navigator also has thinner nylon straps for the chest strap and shoulder straps. No concerns with durability either.
The Rucker 4.0 has a frame sheet, the Navigator doesn't. This was a concern for me, but the two bags are virtually indistiguishable on back. The Navigator just edges out the Rucker 4.0, I think its down to the lack of frame sheet. It can contour to your back, while the weight plate inside gives it enough structure. The frame sheet on the Rucker 4.0 also creates a stiff spot at the bottom of the bag that is barely noticeable, but not present with the Navigator.
The lack of frame sheet is only noticable when using the ruck as a weight, such as upper and lower handles to do rows or overhead pressing. You will notice more slack as the bag flexes a little more. This can largely be mitigated by filling up the bag. I like to use an inflatable camping pillow. I hate the look of a deflated bag, and I can deflate the pillow when I need the space.
Lets be real, this bag is meant to compete with the Rucker 4.0. The navigator is the clear winner and I own both. Its significantly more affordable, has more organization, equal to slighly more on back comfort. The Rucker 4.0 wins on better build quality, but exists well into the diminishing gains territory. I see no reason to question the durability of the Navigator, plus the OD green with coyote accents, looks sick as shit. And you get a matching color hip belt where GORUCK only offers black now and purchased seperately.
Thank you for the thoughtful and thorough review. We are always striving to improve in an effort to be the best! We appreciate the constructive feedback. Welcome to the Frontline Community!
Excellent quality and value.
I bought both a ruck and sandbag about three months ago, this review will be for the ruck. I’m a member of a workout group where I typically ruck several times a week both PT (boot camp) and slick (hiking). Myself and several members of this group took turns testing this ruck out and here are some of the areas we focused on.
Cost- Very affordable especially for what you get, a lot of rucks you have to purchase everything separately.
Durability- This ruck was used mostly for PT beat downs so you need a ruck that doesn’t rip, tear, or fall apart after 1 or 2 beat downs. So far we have put this ruck through grass, dirt, and sand with just general cleaning without any signs of wear or tear. Knowing there is a life time warranty is a added bonus.
Comfort- It’s hard to say that any weight is comfortable on your back when you’re doing weighted bear crawls, pushups, and or squats however everyone agreed that when they were exercising with this ruck it fit them securely with little to no movement during beat downs and hikes. If you’re looking for a good quality ruck that is comfortable and is very affordable I recommend this product.
I have had my Frontline Athletic Ruck Backpack for two weeks. I use it every time I go for a walk or hike. The pack conforms to my back well. I am 70 and would recommend the pack to seniors (and others) who are looking to carry 50 lbs. or less. I can't comment on heavy loads. My brother has a GoRuck and this is very similar. Thanks!
Hi Jeff. Thank you for the kind review. We are happy to hear you are enjoying your pack!
Just started using my Frontline Ruck and am really pleased with it thus far. I had been using a GoRuck Rucker 4.0 and find the Frontline bag more comfortable on the shoulders. In addition it's got more room in it to store more gear (and it came with the hip belt included as opposed to that being an add on cost). Definitely recommend as the quality matches GoRuck's bag, the space and comfort are better and the price is much less!
Thanks for the kind words, Craig R. We appreciate your support. Please feel free to reach out anytime with questions.
Great Pack, Great Construction. Holding up well to 45lbs regularly and used it over several 5+ mile outings and much more comfortable than a non-specialized pack. Appreciate the hub belt and ability to shift the load on the fly as well. Customer Service and Communication top notch too.
Thanks for the kind words, Matt. Hope to see you out there!
Really impressed with the quality of this pack. Was able to do a test run a day before doing a F3 10 mile CSAUP. I had several people ask about my pack and I was proud to tell them to check out Frontline Athletics.

Fife, thanks for the kind review. It’s people like you who help form this community. Aye!
Took my backpack on its first ruck today. It is super sturdy and is well-made. I love everything about it and have the feeling that I will be enjoying it for a long time to come.
Thank you!
Great ruck! Fits perfectly on my back.
Thank you!
Gear looks and feels great. Now to beat the tar out of it…

I couldn't be happier with my purchase of this Ruck Backpack, it is perfect for me when i want to go on those long rucks. Holds my 30 pound long plate perfectly with plenty of room to spare for other necessities (or even another plate) while out on my ruck. I love that the hip belt is removable if need be and the fact that it has both a sternum strap & the hip belt so if I'm REALLY loaded up, the bag is nice and stable. Plenty of handles if you want to use the bag for something other than a backpack while exercising. Wonderful idea to include a place for a water bladder, especially if you are on a lengthy ruck and as someone who struggle with sciatica, the padded lumbar region is a lifesaver.
Thank you for your support.
